Where do I begin? :)

Well, sorry i missed last week's post, time just seems to get away from me sometimes. So, the last few weeks have been very, very busy. My sister had her prom last weekend. She had a great time. Michael and I went up there before she left, so I could help her get ready. Her dress was beautiful and she looked great. I felt like a real adult as we all snapped a million pictures of her and her date. It was very fun. Then, michael and I ate at Zorba's (delicious Greek food) before heading over to Denton to visit with William, who is in town from Germany for a few weeks and Jay, who was in town from Charleston for a few days. It was great to see both of them. It is definitley a long drive to Denton, but it is worth it to spend some good times with good friends.

On sunday, I had a preemie graduation party to attend at work. This is a party they hold once a year where all the babies that went to the NICU and their families get to come back and have a big ol' party. it was so good to see so many healthy babies.

Natalie and Jen are throwing Michael and I a couples Luau Shower. I am so excited, it is going to be so much fun. I cant really remember the last time someone threw me a party, i am usually the planner of things. We are all going to get together by the pool and gril some burgers and chicken and party it down. Yeah!!!

Last wednesday, we hung out with Gabe (michael's cousin) and his fiance, Mallary. we hung out at their place and played some Texas Hold Em. They had cooked a delicious dinner. I kicked ass in the poker, i was the evening's poker winner. :)

Thursday night, will, michael, jenn and I attended a candlelight vigil that the Turning Point (the rape crisis center i used to work at) was holding. They had a suvivor share her story. it seems she is a national celebrity, she has even been on Oprah sharing her story. It was very moving. Of course, it was no Take Back the Night Rally, but it did feel good to hear someone's amazing story of recovery. I was glad that will, jenn and michael were able to be there with me.

Friday, i was actually not working because i am working today and worked yesterday. Well, I was supposed to get my wedding dress fitted. That didnt work out as planned. My dress didnt come in on time, so i had to cancel the fitting . I have rescheduled it with a different lady for this coming saturday. My dress better be in on wednesday as promised. So instead of dress fitting, i ran some other wedding related errands and spent the afternoon hanging out with jenn and just bitching and moaning about wedding related stuff. That was a much needed vent fest. :) Thanks, Jenn.

This week, the wedding planning continues. We are working on getting michael's wedding band and tux and we are also trying to get the final details of the amarillo lake trip in may planned out. What busy lives we lead. Well, as bon jovi says, i'll sleep when i'm dead. Peace out.

Late again :)

The weekend was a blast. We headed down to Austin Saturday morning to see Kim and Chris. It was a great time. Of course we drove straight into Trudy's and met everyone there. The food and drink and company was all wonderful. It was nice to spend some time with Chris and see Matthew and Stacey. It was a lot of fun. Then, we spent the rest of the weekend haning out with Kim. It was such a blast. Kim was such a great hostess. We ate some more and spent some time hiking and swimming at the Green Belt. We talked a lot and just enjoyed the company. It was a nice relaxing weekend. We didnt get home till yesterday evening, but it was worth it.

On a different note, I love my IPod. We bought an adapter that you can use to play your ipod in the car. So, michael and i spent friday night setting up all kinds of playlists and downloading more cd's onto my ipod. We were able to listen to all kinds of great music on the road. I am also getting a sports armband for the ipod, so i can use it to workout with. Good times. I love technology.

We are also moving along quite well with the wedding planning. We finished the ceremony and met with the officiant again last week. The meeting went very well. I think the ceremony sounds great and is very personal, which i really like.

Anyway, today starts another week. I hope it flys by. Have a good one.

Sorry, I'm late on the post this week

Well, this weekend was very busy with Michael's parents in town. It was very fun and I had a really good time getting to know his parents better. Well, his mom and her fiance flew in on friday, so i picked them up at noon and dropped them off at the galleria and headed back to work. I was able to get out of work at 3:30 since i came in so early and then i headed back to the galleria to pick them up. We found a hotel and got them all checked in and then when michael got home from work, we all headed out to dinner. Saturday, we hit the wax museum and ripleys believe it or not museum. It was a very fun and educational time. :) There were some really crazy, wierd things on display there. Then, we headed up to meet my folks and that went over very well. The food and company was all great. Sunday, we took them to the airport and then caught up with michael's dad who was passing through town. we watched a few movies and enjoyed the afternoon. It was a great weekend full of family fun (my new extended family is really great) :)

I had my consultation for my tooth implant last week and it went well, so i have an appointment for may 6 to get my tooth extracted and a new one put in. I have to be on an IV and all. It is quite nerve racking, but i am sure it will go well. Michael is going to be there with me, so that will help ease my nerves.

We are still waiting to hear from the peace corps as far as an invitation. I am getting very impatient, but we will keep waiting to hear since that is all we can do. Anyway, i have to get back to work. Talk to you all soon.

Oh yeah, one more thing, i am really looking forward to next weekend. we are heading down to austin to visit kim and see chris. That will be tons of fun. Yeah for getting out of town for the weekend. :)
