Fun times at Oktoberfest
Last night was such a great time. drinking german beer out of a kick ass souvenir beer stein and riding many scary carnival rides and playing many crazy carnival games. Good times. Daniel, a great friend of mine who recently came back from japan where he was teaching english for the last year, and I rode two crazy scary rides. We rode the Starship 3000. this ride was so great for two reasons. one, they played great 80's music like bon jovi and aerosmith while on the ride and two because it is all about the centifigual (sp?) force. You get in this ship and it start to spin superfast, but you dont really feel like you are spinning. It just feels like there is no gravity so you can shoot yoru feet and arms up in the air. it was such a great time. then, later in the evening, daniel and i rode the kamikaze. Scary stuff. It is kind of like the pirate ship at six flags except it goes all the way around and you just kind of hang upside down in the air forever. The only thing holding you up is this silly black bar. Scary. While on the ride, daniel kept screaming "carnie insurance". Funny!! I love rollercoasters and carnival rides, but the thing about carnivals that scares me is that they just set them up anywhere they want, so you have to wonder how safe they really are. Oh well, we made it through and it was a great night.
today, i am not quite sure what the plan is, but many things have been tossed around. Plano balloon festival or the greek festival. tommorrow, there is also the japanese festival going on. Wow, too much to do this weekend. Also, Michael and i are getting together tommorrow since that is the only day that our schedules really mix. I am looking forward to it. Anyway, i am off to do all kinds of great saturday things. :)
