Procrastination is so much fun...

So, I should continue studying, but I feel as if i have been studying all day. Oh, maybe that is because I HAVE been studying all day. Oh well, that is what sundays have become. I guess I should be used to it by now. Anyway, I am ready for a break, so I thought I would write a bit since our cable box is not working, so I really can't watch tv.

On that note, sometimes it feels like owning a home is way more trouble than its worth. Here are several reasons: 1. Our dvr/cable box is not working so I have to go to the time warner place tomorrow after work and exchange it for a new box. 2. we just finished fixing our pool which took my dad and michael about 3 saturdays. 3. Our roof leaked last week when the heavy rainstorm came through. I was studying in the living room and all a sudden water starts dripping through the vent in the living room. Not a good sign. So, michael and i head up to the attic and there is a 5 inch by 5 inch hole in our roof where a vent used to be, but is no longer, so water is just pouring in. we try to think of ways to fix it, but it is way too high in the roof, so we leave it be and hope that our roof doesn't cave in. Needless to say, we did not sleep well that night. the next day, michael put some shingles over the hole and we have some people coming out this week to give us an estimate on how much we have to pay to fix it. now, we have a few nice stains on our ceiling, but that is how it goes. We will get someone to fix it and all will be right at our home again.

so, this week has been quite eventful. I got stuck in an elevator with one of my coworkers this past week. we were only in there for about 15 minutes, but we did have to start yelling for help since the alarm and the phone weren't working. adventures in hospital elevators. :)

This is the story of the year in my book. so, i go to DSW shoes to get some black pumps. I don't really have a pair and i am told they are a staple in any women's shoe wardrobe. I have 2 $10 off coupons and a coupon for a free tote bag if I spend $40 or more. So, i find the shoes I want and they are $39.95, but they are also on sale for 30% off. I cant find anything else i want, so i decide to go without the free tote bag. ends up when i go to checkout that the free tote bag has turned into 25% off instead of a free bag. so, with 30% off plus 25% off and $20 off with my coupons, my shoes end up costing me $1.05. can you believe that? as I was leaving, the lady who checked me out turned to her coworker and said, "that woman just bought shoes for $1.05". good times. that is the best bargain buy ever in my world. Below is a pic of me in my new shoes. cute, huh?

So, the whites are coming back in my hair, so i decided to get my hair cut and colored yesterday. well, I actually decided to get my hair highlighted, which i have never done before. I decided to get red highlights. Initially, I wasn't so sure about them, but since yesterday, I think they have grown on me. Let me know what you think.

4 more weeks of school including finals!!! woo hoo. I cant wait for the holidays. I am really looking forward to thanksgiving. good food and great family time. I love it. Anyway, back to the books.

I am so very, very, very impressed with your $1.05 shoes. You KNOW I love a bargain. You just took the cake!

I like the red highlights, and don't you just look like you're melting away in that full length photo!

...sorry we had to be stuck in the elevator. At least it wasn't for too long, and neither of us went into labor at the time! ...not that I'm pregnant, and I don't think you are...oh, you know what I'm saying!

I just clicked on your picture so it took up the whole screen, and Paul happened to glance over and said "WOW!" You look fantastic!
