3 week hiatus :)

i am not even sure anyone is reading this blog anymore since i have been so delinquent as of late, but no matter, i will write anyway. :) well, the past 3 weeks have been a happy mixture of work and play. Jason was in town for some time and that was very nice. I didnt get to spend as much time with him as i would have liked, but we did have some good times. he is coming back into town pretty soon for a week or so. :)

Will has left for Germany for the rest of the semester. he is doing research at the Max Plank Institute in Frankford. i miss him, but he sounds like he is doing very well there.

we celebrated Michael's 25th birthday at Fogo de Chao. Yes, folks, i actually went to an all you can eat meat on a stick place. The crazy things one will do for the man they love. :) it was a great time, the evening ended at the Velvet Hookah where we all danced the night away. Man, can that Michael dance. :)

I spent Plano ISD's spring break, where i had off from my internship, house and kid sitting for my supervisor. It really wasnt a bad gig, her son is 15 years old and i got paid $200 for two nights. not a bad deal. :) Michael and i did find a few days to get out of town between Plano ISD's spring break and UTA's spring break, which is this week. We headed out to Lake Mineral Wells for some much needed camping time. We spent two days communing with nature. I went kayaking for the first time. It was oh so very fun. My arms did hurt a bit, (i guess i need to work out a bit more), but it was very much fun.

today, it was back to the grind. my internship is going well. These kids definitley have some kind of crazy spring fever. They are getting crazier and crazier as the semester goes on. work is going well. Many of my clients are cancelling, so that is a bit frustrating, but the ones that i am seeing are going really well. I feel like we are definitley making some progress. school, well, what can i say about school. i feel as if i have been in school FOREVER. I have about 8 weeks before this craziness is over and i am done with school. I cant believe it, 8 weeks. Get ready for a kick ass party on May 15. I am looking forward to having some down time in my life. Having a regular job with regular hours with a steady pay check. All these things sound so fabulous.

Saturday after i see a client in the morning, my family and i are heading down to houston for my uncle's 40 day memorial service. I was not able to attend his funeral due to work and my sister's school, so i am very happy to be able to attend this memorial. i really do want to see his kids and talk to them a bit. They are really not doing very well. Hopefully, i can come up with some amazing words of wisdom to ease their pain. so, sunday is quite bittersweet for me. My uncle's 40 day memorial, my mom's birthday, and Michael and I's 6 months together. well, life is never perfect, right? :)

next weekend, i am taking a two day prep course for my licensure exam. i havent signed up to take the exam yet, but i am hoping to take it the weekend after this prep course. I am a bit nervous. I am almost certain i will pass, but there is so much riding on this one test that it definitely causes a bit of stress. I guess i can only do my best and hope for the best. well, i am off to do a bit of relaxing. hope you are all doing super out there.
