Finally

I think our crazy president might have actually done something right for once. Rape in the prison system has been a problem in the US for way too long. President George W. Bush signed into law the Prison Rape Elimination Act of 2003, marking the first time the U.S. government has ever passed a law to deal with sexual assault behind bars. Most people dont want to think about how bad it is for prisoners in jail because they have committed a crime. Most people believe that they get whatever they deserve because they are criminals. But, in my opinion, if someone commits a crime, they deserve to go to jail, but they do not deserve to be raped in jail. Anyway, I know this is not a very uplifting topic, but I am really glad that we are finally facing the fact that it does happen and at least this is a beginning to stopping it.
