i think i just planned a trip to austin while driving 80 mph on I-30 and talking on my new hands free phone!

Well, Monday was completely perfect. Even though I had to write a paper, it was so nice to have some down time. I did some laundry, cleaned the apartment a bit, ate dinner with the fam, wrote my paper and watched a movie. All this was by myself, it was perfection. It was nice to have some relaxing time with just me.

Tuesday was completely crazy, as usual. Drove to Forney in the morning for work, then headed to A town for two classes. They were both pretty interesting, especially the domestic violence one. You know that a woman will be beaten by her partner 30-40 times before making the first report. How crazy is that? I know quite a bit about domestic violence because of my work with sexual assault, but i had never learned that statistic. It really hit home with me how hard it is for these women to get out these abusive relationships. I also learned that Bill Clinton was raised by an abusive, alcholic stepfather who tried to shoot his mom while Bill watched. Bill was only 5 years old at the time. the best part of my day on Tuesday (made the whole day easier to get through) was playing with a 3 year old boy at work. He was all smiles and so much fun to hang out with. It brightened my whole day.

A really frustrating part of my day was that I had to drive around the parking lot on campus for almost 45 minutes before finding a parking spot. I felt like I was back in austin. It makes me wonder why I spent $80 on a parking permit when it takes me 45 minutes to find a spot. That is very silly to me.

Today, I saw a few more clients at my internship. I am really enjoying this internship, i think I am going to learn a lot. I feel like I have already learned a lot. I like the fact that there is some down time while i am there. I am so used to always going, going, going. This place allows for some breaks in the day, it is nice. I dont like the fact that I dont have internet acess at my internship, but i think i will make it. :)

I am at school right now waiting for class to start. The drive today wasnt bad at all, spent most of it on the phone. I think i am going to austin next weekend. Kim is moving to france on Sept. 20 to teach english over there. I am really excited for her, but i am going to miss her. her birthday is also coming up, so I am going to jet to austin to see her one last time before she heads off and party hard for her birthday. Yeah, I really miss austin, i feel like i havent been there in quite a while. Trudy's here I come!!!! well, i am looking forward to tommorrow, all i have to do is my internship from 8-4. That sounds so wonderful. Well, I am off to class.
